| Seek shelter immediately in either a basement or interior room of your home. Stay away from windows and doors. Be sure to protect your head. |

| Store plenty of emergency drinking water and dry foods. Move as many perishable items as possible to coolers with ice. Make sure to keep several blankets on hand to help keep warm. |

| Seek shelter, if possible. Avoid open areas and water. Wear rubber soled sandals or shoes. |
| What should I do in the event of an earthquake? |

| Stay indoors, if possible! Protect your head by covering it with your arms, crawling under a table or standing beneath a secure door frame. Avoid windows, large mirrors, large or heavy furniture, and/or fireplaces. Stop cooking immediately, turn off the stove, and take shelter.
If you are stranded outisde, move to a completely open area away from buildings, homes, or power lines. |

| The best and safest idea would to be seek shelter immediately. Do so in the lowest part of your home or an interior room such as a bathroom. If time, take a pillow and/or blanket to cover your neck and head from any flying objects. Take a radio (suggestions: NOAA Weather Radio) or portable television so you can stay in touch with the latest watches, warnings, statements, and advisories. If you live in a mobile home or are in a automobile, seek shelter in a low lying area or ditch. |

| If you are in a car during a tornado, exit it immediately. Automobiles can be the worst place to during this time because of flying debris and being pulled into the tornado... Try to find a considerably low-lying ditch on the side of the road and lay flat in it with your hands covering both your hands and neck. |
